Merle's Kids 2006
Once again, Andy May hosted Merle's Kids, MerleFest's AcoustiKi♪ s showcase. He was assisted by Larry Skipper and Lauren May.
The turnout was fantastic, and the kids and their parents were a treat to work with. We had some wonderful talent again this year, with several veterans returning for their third year (or more!), and many new recruits joining the ranks. There was everything from step dancing to yodeling, with plenty of mandolin, fiddle, guitar, and singing in between. Two kids performed songs they had written.
As always, the audience, a crucial factor in the success of the program, was welcoming and supportive of the kids.
We're already looking forward to next year's showcase!
